Filming a wedding at Voewood
Voewood is one of England's great Arts and Crafts houses, hidden near Holt - eccentric, book-filled, flower-drenched and utterly unlike any other wedding venue in Norfolk.
Houses with this much personality make the film's job simple: capture the place honestly and it does half the storytelling for you.
Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at Voewood yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.
How I'd film your day here
- The house's craftsmanship rewards close, textural detail shots between the day's chapters.
- The sunken gardens frame ceremonies and portraits with built-in depth.
- North Norfolk light - clean and coastal - flatters everything late in the day.
