Filming a wedding at The Assembly House
The Assembly House in the heart of Norwich is Georgian elegance made easy - chandeliers, high ceilings and one of the city's loveliest settings, with everything your guests need on the doorstep.
City-centre weddings flow differently: shorter travel, tighter chapters, and the chance to fold Norwich's streets and lanes into the film between the formalities.
Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at The Assembly House yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.
How I'd film your day here
- The Georgian ballroom's chandeliers and symmetry reward composed, classic framing.
- Norwich's cobbled lanes offer a short couple-walk sequence nowhere else can match.
- Everything under one roof means gapless coverage from ceremony to last dance.
Often - my London work translates perfectly to Norwich. City films have an energy all of their own.
Not yet - this guide is for couples planning a wedding there.
