Filming a wedding at The Ferry House

The Ferry House at Harty sits on the remote southern tip of the Isle of Sheppey, looking across the Swale to the Kent marshes - an award-winning venue with its own kitchen garden, orchard and enormous skies.

I filmed Abigail and Henry's wedding here, and it's a venue that rewards a patient camera: the light over the water changes by the hour, and the day unfolds at its own easy pace.

I've filmed a real wedding at The Ferry House - Abigail & Henry's day. The film is being prepared for the site; in the meantime, my other films show exactly how I work.

How I'd film your day here

  • The Swale backdrop gives water, boats and big-sky frames all day long.
  • The kitchen garden and orchard are made for close, textural, golden-hour coverage.
  • Remote venues concentrate the day in one place - the film gets prep, ceremony and party without a single travel gap.
Yes - Abigail and Henry's wedding. I know the spaces, the light over the Swale and how the day flows there, which shows in the coverage.
The Ferry House is comfortably within my regular coverage from Leigh-on-Sea - no travel fees.
