Filming a wedding at Syon Park
Syon Park is west London's countryside-in-the-city - a ducal estate whose Great Conservatory, a soaring dome of glass and light, is one of the most beautiful wedding spaces in the capital.
Glasshouse venues are a videographer's dream: the light is everywhere, it changes through the day, and every frame comes pre-filled with sky and greenery.
Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at Syon Park yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.
How I'd film your day here
- The Great Conservatory's dome is the venue's signature - I shoot it wide, then live in the light it creates.
- Gardens and parkland give a country-wedding feel minutes from central London.
- Dusk turns the glasshouse into a lantern - the closing shots of the film take care of themselves.
No - all of Greater London is standard coverage from Leigh-on-Sea.
Not yet - this guide is for couples planning a wedding there. I scout every new venue before the day.
