Filming a wedding at Sandon Manor
Sandon Manor is an 800-acre rewilded estate in north Hertfordshire with a 13th-century medieval barn at its heart - a chic, design-led venue for couples who want wild landscape and clean interiors in the same day.
Rewilded land gives a film movement - long grasses, big skies, honest light. I shoot the landscape like a character and keep the barn coverage crisp and modern to match the venue's styling.
Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at Sandon Manor yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.
How I'd film your day here
- The medieval barn's timber frame, dressed minimally, films beautifully - texture without clutter.

Open estate land is ideal for aerial work. Flights are agreed with the venue and subject to conditions, confirmed beforehand.
