Filming a wedding at Loseley Park
Loseley Park is an Elizabethan estate outside Guildford that has hosted royalty for four centuries - a great house, walled gardens and a tithe barn that keeps the day flowing in one glorious place.
History, gardens and barn in one venue means a film with three distinct visual acts and no travel between them.
Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at Loseley Park yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.
How I'd film your day here
- The house frontage and moat walk give classic establishing frames.
- The walled garden's rose sections are the portrait spot from late spring onward.
- The tithe barn evening glows on camera - I expose for the candlelight, not against it.
Estate venues set their own rules, which I confirm in advance - from the air, the house and gardens are remarkable.
Not yet - this is a guide for couples planning a wedding there.
