Filming a wedding at Branches Park

Branches Park near Newmarket is one of Suffolk's newest premium estates - recently opened, beautifully grounds-kept, and positioned to become one of the county's defining venues over the next few years.

Early couples at a new venue get something rare: a place with no visual clichés yet. I scout Branches Park properly and film it as if setting the reference everyone else will follow.

Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at Branches Park yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.

How I'd film your day here

  • Fresh landscaping and open lawns give clean, elegant wide frames.
  • Secluded garden corners suit quiet couple portraits away from the party.
  • Moonlit terrace dancing, filmed handheld and close, gives the evening its energy on screen.
Open parkland suits aerial establishing shots with the venue's permission and suitable weather.
Not yet - consider this a planning guide. Before any new venue I visit or arrive early on the day to scout ceremony sightlines, light and sound, so the coverage is planned rather than improvised.
