Filming a wedding at Kimberley Hall

Kimberley Hall is Georgian Norfolk at full scale - a grand hall in parkland laid out by Capability Brown, with interiors that make every frame feel like a period production.

Venues of this stature set the film's tone in the first ten seconds: one composed establishing shot of the hall and everything after carries a sense of occasion.

Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at Kimberley Hall yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.

How I'd film your day here

  • The parkland approach gives a graceful arrival sequence worthy of the setting.
  • Grand staircases and tall windows mean elegant, light-filled interior coverage.
  • Brown's landscape gives couple portraits depth that flat lawns simply can't.
Yes - all of Norfolk is standard coverage from my Essex base.
Not yet - treat this as a planning guide for your day there.
