Filming a wedding at Wilderness Reserve

Wilderness Reserve is the East Anglian juggernaut - a 5,000-acre Suffolk estate with three venues (Chapel Barn, Blyth Barn and the Sibton Estate), luxury cottages, pools and spas, hosting some of the most stylish weddings in the region.

Estate weddings at this level unfold over days, not hours - and the film should too, from Friday arrivals to Sunday swims.

Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at Wilderness Reserve yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.

How I'd film your day here

  • Blyth Barn's 22,500 sq ft takes celebrations of a scale few UK venues can match.
  • Chapel Barn's streamside setting and interiors give the film boutique-hotel polish.
  • 5,000 acres of parkland and lakes make drone establishing shots extraordinary (where permitted).
Yes - multi-day coverage is exactly what my tailored package exists for.
Not yet - this guide is for couples planning a wedding there. I scout every new venue before the day.
