Filming a wedding at Leez Priory
Leez Priory is a Tudor mansion outside Chelmsford with a genuine sense of occasion - red brick, a tower, walled gardens and grounds that give a wedding film real scale without ever feeling stiff.
Historic venues reward a patient camera. The architecture provides the backdrop; the film still has to be about the people in front of it. That balance is exactly what I aim for here.
Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at Leez Priory yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.
How I'd film your day here
