Filming a wedding at Shotesham Park
Shotesham Park in the Tas Valley south of Norwich is a newly opened venue on a Georgian parkland estate - licensed indoors and out, and young enough that early couples are still shaping its story.
New venue, old landscape: the park's mature trees and valley views have been composing themselves for two centuries. I film the estate as generously as the house.
Honest note: I haven't filmed a wedding at Shotesham Park yet - this guide is written for couples planning one there. Before any new venue I scout in person or arrive early on the day, walking the ceremony and reception spaces and planning shots around the light, so nothing is left to chance.
How I'd film your day here
- Parkland ceremonies under veteran trees film with natural grandeur.
- Valley views give layered, receding backdrops for golden-hour portraits.
- First-mover weddings here mean your film helps define how the venue is seen - I treat that seriously.
Parkland estate suits aerial establishing shots with permission and safe conditions, arranged in advance.
Not yet - consider this a planning guide. Before any new venue I visit or arrive early on the day to scout ceremony sightlines, light and sound, so the coverage is planned rather than improvised.
